16 Mar When life gives you lemons…
It’s a new day and a new way of doing business at Sweetology: Flexing in the Face of Adversity
As the weekend progressed, we felt the urgency of domestic and global calls to action to help halt the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19. We made the decision to ramp up our own efforts and make Sweetology a pro-active partner in the fight. Effective immediately Sweetology is pivoting to a take-out or delivery only service until the virus is contained. We will continue to offer to-go items along with our sweet brand of decorating fun, boxed and ready to chase away any house-bound blues. Our cupcakes, cakes and cookies and themed decorating kits are available to order through our website with options for curbside pick-up or shipping directly to your door. You can even create your own “Party in a Box,” to take home and share with your friends. Soon, our cupcake and cookie decorating kits will be added to our existing Grubhub and Doordash menus. This change only impacts drop-in decorating services meaning there will be no open studio, walk-in decorating. We will continue to host our regularly scheduled classes and privately booked parties, unless otherwise directed by health authorities. By making this dynamic shift, it will significantly limit the risk of general group exposure for both our guests and staff. This additional measure will also allow us to host groups in a “closed environment” and thoroughly sanitize the store between each small group activity, with particular care and attention given to high-contact touch points, tools, caddies, and dispensers.
Every small action we take will be mighty! We can’t say enough to thank you for your patience and loyalty as we work through uncharted territory. As a local business, our team members and guests are at the forefront of every decision we make. With a small staff of key players, we feel a deep responsibility to do everything we can to stay healthy so we are able to continue operations, especially at a time when we can all use an occasional sweet distraction.
Speaking of distractions, we’ll be getting back to the kitchen now where you can bet we’re working on some fun new stuff to keep you smiling.
