12 Mar Health and Safety Update regarding COVID-19
Amid growing concerns over the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19, we want to take this opportunity to emphasize there is no higher priority than the safety of our customers and staff. Fortunately, our entire Sweetology team is healthy and committed to continuing to provide safe and fun Sweetology experiences as we all navigate the current challenges.
We will continue to maintain our high standards towards cleaning and proper food handling policies in each of our stores. Great care is being taken to wipe down and sanitize all surfaces after each guest, monitoring proper handwashing procedures in both food preparation and front of house operations, using gloves in all food handling circumstances, and encouraging proper handwashing by our guest decorators. Additionally, our staff has been instructed that if they are exhibiting flu-like symptoms or have a fever, they should NOT report to work.
What can you do and what are your options?
- If you or anyone in your party is exhibiting symptoms or running a fever, please refrain from participating in activities at the store. We will happily give you a store credit so that you may enjoy your Sweetology experience at a later date.
- As always, we ask that each guest wash his or her hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water before decorating. We will also have gloves available for anyone who would like an extra protective layer.
- If you would like to create a “party in a box” decorating experience at home, we are happy to package items to-go or ship a decorating kit to you.
We recognize this is a fluid situation and will continue to monitor and follow recommendations from the CDC, as well as local health authorities.
